Brief history...
The Mouat’s are a second generation apple growing family.
Greg's parents bought the orchard in 1926, and since then, the trees have gradually been replaced. The first wave of replacements was up until the 1980’s, but more recently new varieties such as Galaxy Gala and Pink Lady have been planted.
How long have the Mouat’s been growing Batlow Apples?
Approximately 30 years on and off.

Greg’s parents purchased the current orchard site in 1926
What varieties are grown at WYOLA?
Red Delicious, Braeburn, Fuji, Pink Lady, Sundowner, Granny Smith. (Greg’s favourite variety is Fuji)
Life in Batlow for a grower...
It is a busy 12 month job, and there is always something to do. For the Mouats, fruit growing is a business, but the town and lifestyle in Batlow is terrific.
The family is involved with local Rotary Club, and have a keen interest in snow skiing. The Mouat’s spend a holiday on the coast each year.
